Hedera helix hibernica is a vigorous large evergreen Ivy climber with broad, 5-lobed dark green leaves to 12cm in width with defined lighter veining and a paler underside when mature.

You can enjoy their small greenish flowers in umbels that are followed by black berries. The leaves of the flowering shoots are, however, oval with entire margins. Flowering occurs in Sept/October.

The fruits are blue-black berries.

Hedera helix 'Hibernica', alternatively known as Atlantic or Irish Ivy is salt tolerant, ideal for coastal areas.
