Instant hedging - A perfect Griselinia littoralis (Broadleaf) without the wait!

This variety is native to New Zealand, Chile and parts of Brazil. Enjoy its lushous, leathery leaves  which boast a unique apple green colouring. Ideal for instant natural privacy screening. 

Coming from slightly more temperate climates than here in the UK, it can be susceptible to damage from frosts and cold winds, so is best planted in either coastal locations or sheltered inland areas and cities. It is thrives best in a free draining soil but will grow in most soil types except poorly drained ones.  It will form a very dense evergreen hedge and provides a great natural privacy screen.

Griselinia littoralis instant hedging was introduced to the United Kingdom around 1850 and was given an Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society in 1984.
