Instant Hedge Photinia Red Robin in Hedge Bag

Instant hedging - Photinia Red Robin is an evergreen species which produces attractive red new growth just the same as Pieris (Forest Flame). The new growth fades down to green, however, if it is pruned it will produce a dense foliage with another flush of red growth. This is a relatively fast-growing hedge but needs frequent pruning to maintain its density, shape and leaf colour.

If left unpruned, it will produce beautiful creamy white flowers, perfect for creating impressive natural privacy screening with effective soundproofing as it catches unwanted noise in its leaves. The stunning new red foliage can last for up to 4 months if the conditions are right. It is also very affective at trapping fine air dust from the air making it an excellent pollution barrier for better air quality. 

Photinia Red Robin is lime tolerant so will grow nearly anywhere in the United Kingdom.

The Royal Horticultural Society gave the Photinia an Award of Merit and an Award of Garden Merit.
