Instant Hedge English Yew (Taxus baccata) in Hedge Bag

English Yew (Taxus baccata) instant hedging is one of the classic instant hedges. Forms a wonderful back drop to any planting scheme and is suitable for forming into amazing geometric and formal shapes.

With regular pruning, it will grow into a dense evergreen hedge and can be kept as a low hedge of around 45-60cm in height or a high hedge, growing in excess of 250cm. Whatever the height, this variety will produce a dense foliage. If left un-trimmed it will flower and produce a red fruit in the Autumn.

If the drainage is good, this variety will thrive in soils that are almost pure chalk through to very acidic peaty soils.
